Today I have pink and girly inspired makeup tutorial for you using MAC and Lime Crime products.

Directions

Face

Apply foundation and use a concealer as needed. Set the base with a powder for a matte finish.

Eyes

Apply primer to create a crease-free and smooth base for the eyeshadow. Once the primer is set, using a large eyeshadow brush apply lots of ‘Primadonna’ all over the lid, stopping about a centimeter below your eyebrows. Pick up more ‘Primadonna’ with your brush and apply on lower lashline, continuing down to roughly 1.5 centimeters under the eye. Connect the shadow to the eyelid by sweeping it upwards and outwards, like a ‘cat-eye’ effect. A few layers of eyeshadow will give you a deeper shade of pink.

With a medium sized brush apply ‘Medusa’ to the outer corner of the eye and into the crease, making sure to blend it well with ‘Primadonna’. As a guide, apply it making a V shape. Also apply ‘Medusa’ to under the eye along the lashline. This will darken the look and create depth similar to a smokey eye. I like to use a large fluffy brush for this kind of blending, like #224 from MAC.

Apply ‘Mirror Mirror’ to the inner corners of the eyes, making sure to blend back with ‘Primadonna’.

Instead of using a blush use a large flat brush to apply ‘Mirror Mirror’ high on the cheekbones and blend it upwards into ‘Primadonna’.

Apply black eyeliner close along the upper lash line and flick it out a little at the outer edge. Also apply liner to the waterline and lower lashline, this adds intensity to the look. Apply two layers of black mascara to the top and bottom lashes, and for extra drama use some long fluffy fake eyelashes to finish the look.

Lips

Line lips and finish with a bright pink lipstick, followed by lots of clear gloss.

Have fun with it! Also, the comments function is finally working so leave me a note if you so wish!

Thanks Lotie! Yes, I thought it would be great to try my Lime Crime products with MAC (as I am a MAC addict) just to see how they work together :)

Thanks for the feedback So-Lou! I will be doing step-by-step photos from now on, as I think the process will be MUCH easier to follow, and there will be less reading. Also, video tutorials are going to happen here eventually! I might have to steal your face from time to time to model for me, too! (if you would like to, of course) ;)

Jade: Go ahead and try it! It is actually quite a ‘wearable’ look.

It’s a pity that people don’t realize the importance of this information. Thanks for posing it.
